Erica carnea f. alba 'Snowbelle'
Erica carnea f. alba 'Snowbelle' is a compact evergreen winter heath producing pure white, urn-shaped flowers from January to May. The blooms stand out against fresh green needle-like foliage, creating a bright display that lifts the garden through winter and well into spring.
Its neat, bushy habit and upright flowering shoots make it particularly effective in patio pots and mixed winter containers. It also works well at the front of borders, in rockeries or planted in drifts, where the white flowers provide a soft contrast to pink and purple heathers.
Hardy and low maintenance, 'Snowbelle' prefers full sun or light partial shade in moist but well-drained soil. It grows well in acidic or neutral conditions and also tolerates mildly alkaline soil. Lightly trim after flowering to remove faded blooms and encourage fresh, bushy growth.
