Erica carnea 'Pink Spangles'
Erica carnea 'Pink Spangles' is a compact evergreen winter heath producing a generous display of small, bell-shaped, rose-pink flowers from January to May. The blooms deepen in colour as they age, creating an attractive changing display above fine, mid-green needle-like foliage.
Its low, spreading habit forms a neat carpet of foliage, making it ideal for groundcover, rockeries, banks and border edges. Plant in groups or drifts for greater impact, or use in patio containers alongside spring bulbs and contrasting winter-flowering heathers.
Hardy, reliable and easy to grow, 'Pink Spangles' prefers full sun or light partial shade in moist but well-drained soil. It tolerates lime as well as acidic conditions, making it a versatile garden choice. Lightly trim after flowering to maintain a tidy shape. This dependable variety holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
