Cornus canadensis
Cornus canadensis, commonly known as Creeping Dogwood, is a beautiful carpeting perennial that provides year-round interest in shaded gardens. It forms a dense mat of glossy green leaves, topped from late spring to mid-summer with striking white bracts that sit above the foliage, creating a fresh and elegant display.
As the seasons change, the foliage turns vivid red in autumn, accompanied by clusters of bright red berries that add colour and wildlife value. Perfect for woodland gardens and shaded borders, it thrives in moist, well-drained, acidic soils and works beautifully as groundcover beneath trees and shrubs.
