Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Boulevard'
Chamaecyparis 'Boulevard' is a striking evergreen conifer prized for its soft, feathery silvery-blue foliage and elegant conical habit. The finely textured foliage provides attractive contrast against broad-leaved shrubs and flowering plants while adding reliable colour and structure throughout the year.
Its naturally upright, pyramidal form gives 'Boulevard' strong architectural presence without appearing overly heavy. It works particularly well as a specimen plant in borders, gravel gardens and larger containers, where its distinctive blue tones can be fully appreciated.
Hardy, reliable and low maintenance, 'Boulevard' performs best in full sun or light shade in moist but well-drained soil. Growth is relatively slow at around 10-15cm per year, and its excellent garden performance has earned it the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
