Chamaecyparis 'Nana Gracilis' is a slow-growing evergreen conifer with dense, glossy dark green foliage arranged in distinctive fan-shaped sprays. The gently twisting, overlapping growth creates a layered architectural effect and an attractive irregular conical form.
Its naturally compact habit makes 'Nana Gracilis' an excellent choice for rock gardens, Japanese-inspired planting and containers. The rich evergreen foliage provides reliable year-round colour and structure, while its sculptural form makes an effective focal point in smaller planting schemes.
Hardy, reliable and low maintenance, 'Nana Gracilis' performs best in sun or partial shade in moist but well-drained soil. Its slow growth means very little pruning is required, allowing the natural form to develop gradually over many years.
