Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Nana Aurea' is a slow-growing, dwarf conifer with a compact, rounded habit. Its finely textured foliage is a rich golden-yellow, holding its colour well throughout the year and bringing a warm contrast to darker evergreens. The dense, fan-like sprays of foliage create an elegant structure, making this variety especially suited for rock gardens, containers, or small spaces.
Hardy and reliable, ‘Nana Aurea’ requires very little maintenance and will slowly form a neat, dome-shaped plant. Its compact size and year-round colour make it an excellent choice for adding long-lasting interest to mixed borders, conifer collections, or Japanese-style gardens.
