Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Nana Aurea'
Chamaecyparis 'Nana Aurea' is a slow-growing evergreen conifer with rich golden-yellow foliage arranged in dense, fan-like sprays. Its bright colouring is retained throughout the year, providing warm contrast against darker evergreens and other foliage plants.
Its naturally compact, rounded habit makes 'Nana Aurea' particularly well suited to rock gardens, mixed borders, conifer collections and patio containers. The finely textured foliage gradually forms a neat, dome-shaped plant with a strong architectural appearance.
Hardy, reliable and low maintenance, 'Nana Aurea' performs best in sun or partial shade in moist but well-drained soil. Growth is slow and steady, making it an excellent choice for smaller gardens and Japanese-style planting schemes.
