Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Karamachiba' is a compact slow-growing conifer forming a graceful rounded mound of soft textured foliage. The attractive foliage emerges golden-yellow before developing rich orange tones during the colder months, providing outstanding year-round colour and seasonal interest.
This dwarf Hinoki Cypress is ideal for rockeries, alpine gardens, patio containers and small borders where its compact habit and unusual colouring can be fully appreciated. Easy to grow and low maintenance, it performs best in a sunny or lightly shaded position with well-drained soil.
