Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Ellwood's Empire'
Chamaecyparis 'Ellwood's Empire' is an elegant evergreen conifer valued for its changing foliage colour and neat, conical habit. Soft juvenile growth emerges pale golden-yellow before gradually maturing to fresh mid-green, creating a subtle variegated effect throughout the year.
Its dense, feathery foliage provides excellent texture and structure, making 'Ellwood's Empire' a versatile choice for mixed borders, rock gardens and patio containers. The naturally upright form develops with little intervention and suits both contemporary and traditional planting schemes.
