Carex elata 'Aurea'
Carex elata 'Aurea', commonly known as Bowles' Golden Sedge, is a striking evergreen grass-like perennial forming elegant fountains of bright golden-yellow foliage. Its fine, arching leaves create year-round colour and texture, making it an excellent choice for brightening damp borders, bog gardens, and pond margins.
Thriving in reliably moist soil, this upright ornamental sedge performs well in both full sun and partial shade. It forms a dense clump over time and provides valuable structure throughout the seasons, especially when planted alongside darker foliage or water-loving perennials.
