Carex comans 'Phoenix Green'
Carex comans 'Phoenix Green' is a graceful evergreen sedge forming soft, arching tufts of fine, hair-like foliage. Its fresh green leaves create a gently cascading habit that adds movement, texture and softness to planting schemes throughout the year.
The flowing foliage is particularly effective for softening path edges, gravel gardens and the rims of patio containers. It also provides an attractive contrast when planted alongside bold-leaved perennials, flowering plants and more upright ornamental grasses.
Low maintenance and easy to grow, 'Phoenix Green' thrives in full sun or partial shade and adapts to a wide range of well-drained soils. Its tolerance of coastal, windy and exposed conditions makes it a reliable choice for both contemporary and informal gardens.
