Blackberry 'Oregon Thornless'
Blackberry 'Oregon Thornless' is a vigorous, spreading variety prized for its smooth, thorn-free canes and heavy crops of delicious fruit. From midsummer to early autumn, it produces large, glossy blackberries with a rich, sweet flavour, perfect for eating fresh, freezing, or using in pies, crumbles, and jams. Its thornless habit makes it much easier to harvest compared to traditional varieties.
The arching canes can be trained along wires, trellises, or fences, making it an excellent choice for gardens of all sizes. In spring, clusters of white flowers attract pollinators, followed by fruit later in the season. A reliable, hardy, and low-maintenance soft fruit, it performs best in full sun with well-drained soil.
