Blackberry 'Navaho Big and Early'® is an early-fruiting, upright floricane variety producing large, firm, and juicy berries of exceptional quality. The sweet-tasting fruits are perfect for eating fresh, as well as for making jams, desserts, or pies. Thornless canes make harvesting easy, while its tidy growth habit suits smaller gardens and even container growing.
Highly productive and easy to grow, ‘Navaho Big and Early’® thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, rewarding growers with generous crops from late July onwards. A reliable and disease-resistant variety ideal for both new and experienced gardeners.

Blackberry Growing Tips
- Happier planted in a sunny, sheltered site but they can tolerate light shade.
- Prefer moisture-retentive but well-drained soil. Blackberries are vigorous and need regular pruning.
- Tie in the shoots of newly-planted canes.
- Once they reach their first winter, cut back all sideshoots on the main cains.
- If you would like to eat the fruits yourself, don't forget to cover the plant to stop the birds getting them!
