Astrantia Sparkling Stars Series™ 'Star of Love'
Astrantia Sparkling Stars Series™ 'Star of Love' is a striking clump-forming perennial producing deep red pincushion-like flowers surrounded by finely fringed red bracts. Its richly coloured, intricate blooms add depth, texture and elegance to mixed planting schemes.
Flowering from June to September, this long-blooming variety provides months of seasonal interest and is highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. The distinctive flowers also make an excellent addition to fresh and dried arrangements.
Easy to grow and reliable, 'Star of Love' is ideal for cottage garden borders, woodland-style planting and lightly shaded areas. It performs best in moist but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade and returns each year after dying back in autumn.
