Aster divaricata 'Beth Chatto'
Eurybia divaricata 'Beth Chatto' is a graceful, clump-forming perennial valued for bringing late-season colour to shaded areas of the garden. Its wiry, near-black stems weave through fresh green foliage, creating an airy and informal appearance.
From July to September, the branching stems become covered with masses of small, starry white flowers with warm brownish-yellow centres. The delicate blooms brighten woodland borders and provide a fresh display as many summer perennials begin to fade.
Hardy, reliable and easy to grow, 'Beth Chatto' thrives in partial shade but will also tolerate sun where the soil remains moist. Its spreading, rhizomatous habit makes it excellent for ground cover beneath deciduous shrubs, along woodland edges and in naturalistic planting schemes.
