Armeria maritima 'Armada Rose'
Armeria maritima 'Armada Rose' is a compact evergreen perennial forming neat cushions of narrow, grass-like green foliage. From late spring into early summer, slender upright stems carry rounded clusters of bright rosy-pink flowers, creating a colourful display above the low mound of leaves.
This hardy Sea Thrift is ideal for rockeries, gravel gardens, coastal planting and edging sunny paths. Its tidy habit also suits alpine troughs, patio pots and raised beds, where the evergreen foliage provides useful texture outside the flowering season.
Easy to grow and drought tolerant once established, 'Armada Rose' thrives in full sun in poor to moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Avoid waterlogged conditions, particularly during winter, and remove spent flower stems to keep the plant tidy and encourage further blooms. Water container plants during prolonged dry spells.
