Anemone × hybrida 'Andrea Atkinson'
Anemone × hybrida 'Andrea Atkinson' is a graceful perennial with white, single to semi-double flowers surrounding golden-yellow centres. The petals can show delicate pink and green tinges on their outer surfaces, while slender, branching stems rise above lobed green foliage.
Flowering from August to October, it brings height and fresh colour to borders as many summer plants begin to fade. Its upright habit suits cottage gardens, woodland-style planting and naturalistic schemes, combining well with ornamental grasses and other autumn-flowering perennials.
Grow in full sun or partial shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Water during dry spells, particularly while establishing, and mulch in spring to help retain moisture. Allow room for the clump to spread and cut back spent stems after flowering.
