Alyssum saxatile 'Gold Ball'
Alyssum saxatile 'Gold Ball' is a cheerful, low-growing perennial valued for its dense domes of bright golden-yellow flowers in spring. The blooms smother the plant from April to May, creating a glowing carpet of colour that is especially effective at the front of borders or spilling over walls.
This compact, evergreen to semi-evergreen plant forms neat cushions of grey-green foliage that provide structure year-round. Exceptionally hardy and easy to grow, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, making it perfect for rock gardens, alpine beds, gravel planting and edging pathways. Once established, it is drought tolerant and requires very little maintenance.
