Acer palmatum 'Katsura'
Acer palmatum 'Katsura' is a spectacular Japanese maple celebrated for its ever-changing foliage colour throughout the seasons. In spring, the finely cut leaves emerge in glowing shades of orange, before softening to yellow with delicate pink edging as summer progresses.
As autumn arrives, the foliage brightens once again into rich orange and amber tones, creating a dramatic seasonal finale. With a graceful, upright habit and excellent garden performance, this RHS award-winning variety makes a striking specimen tree for larger gardens, woodland planting schemes and mixed borders. Best grown in a sheltered position with well-drained soil and light shade.
