Acer shirasawanum 'Aureum'
Acer shirasawanum 'Aureum', commonly known as the Golden Full Moon Maple, is a graceful medium-sized Japanese maple with a naturally bushy, upright habit. Its rounded, finely lobed leaves emerge a luminous lime green in spring, holding their fresh colour through summer and lighting up shaded areas of the garden.
As autumn approaches, the foliage transforms into rich shades of gold, orange and fiery red, delivering a spectacular seasonal finale. Best grown in lightly dappled shade with shelter from strong winds, this award-winning maple makes an outstanding specimen tree for gardens, woodland planting schemes and larger containers.
