Acer palmatum 'Beni-maiko'
Acer palmatum 'Beni-maiko' is a highly popular Japanese maple admired for its softly edged foliage and exceptional seasonal colour. New leaves emerge a fiery red in spring, gradually softening to warm pink tones as they mature through summer, creating a gentle yet eye-catching display.
With a naturally bushy, compact habit, this elegant maple is perfectly suited to small gardens, courtyards and containers. As autumn arrives, the foliage intensifies once again, delivering a blazing display of rich reds and oranges. Best grown in a sheltered position with dappled shade and well-drained soil, ‘Beni-maiko’ provides refined structure and colour throughout the year.
