Acanthus spinosus
Acanthus spinosus is a bold architectural perennial valued for its large, glossy green leaves with deeply cut, spiny edges. Its dramatic foliage forms an impressive clump and provides strong structure in beds and borders.
Tall flower spikes rise above the foliage during summer, carrying distinctive purple and white blooms over a long flowering period. The nectar-rich flowers are attractive to bees and other pollinating insects.
