Abies koreana 'Brilliant'
Abies koreana 'Brilliant' is a miniature evergreen Conifer forming a dense, cushion-shaped mound of short, compact needles. The foliage is bright green and glossy above with silvery-green undersides, creating subtle tonal contrast and year-round textural interest.
Slow growing and naturally low, this distinctive Korean Fir develops into a broad, almost horizontal clump without requiring regular pruning. Its compact size makes it ideal for alpine gardens, rockeries, troughs, containers and the front of mixed Conifer borders.
Hardy and easy to maintain, 'Brilliant' performs best in full sun and deep, moist but well-drained soil that is neutral to slightly acidic. Its exceptionally slow growth and naturally tidy form make it particularly suitable for smaller gardens and carefully detailed planting schemes.
