Gaultheria mucronata 'Pink Form / Pearl', formerly known as Pernettya, is a compact evergreen shrub with a neat, bushy habit and glossy green foliage. Its dense growth provides reliable year-round colour and structure in borders, containers and woodland-style planting schemes.
Small white to pale pink flowers appear during spring and, when pollinated by a compatible male plant, develop into masses of rounded pink berries. The decorative fruits ripen in autumn and remain attractive well into winter, bringing lasting colour during the colder months.
Hardy and low maintenance, 'Pink Form / Pearl' thrives in moist, well-drained acidic soil in full sun or partial shade. It is ideal for ericaceous borders, patio pots and groundcover planting, with a male Gaultheria grown nearby to ensure good berry production.
