Gaultheria mucronata
Gaultheria mucronata (male form) is a compact, evergreen shrub valued for its glossy green foliage and neat, bushy habit. In summer, it produces small, bell-shaped white to pink flowers, adding subtle seasonal interest to borders and containers.
This male form does not produce berries, but it plays an important role as a pollinator for female Gaultheria plants, helping them to set colourful fruits in autumn and winter. Hardy and low-maintenance, it is best planted alongside berry-bearing female cultivars for maximum garden effect.
