Miscanthus sinensis 'Flamingo'
Miscanthus 'Flamingo' is a graceful, clump-forming ornamental grass valued for its elegant habit and changing seasonal colour. Narrow green leaves form an upright mound through summer before developing warm orange tones in autumn.
From late summer, airy feathered panicles rise above the foliage in soft pink shades, gradually fading to silvery tones as the season progresses. The flower heads catch the light beautifully and add movement, texture and long-lasting interest to borders well into winter.
Ideal for mixed borders, prairie-style planting or as a standalone feature, 'Flamingo' provides height without overwhelming surrounding plants. It performs best in full sun and moist but well-drained soil and makes an excellent backdrop for late-flowering perennials.
