Xanthosoma lindenii ‘Mint’ is a striking tropical foliage houseplant with large, arrow-shaped leaves in soft mint-green, beautifully contrasted by darker green veining. Xanthosoma Care Sheet
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Too little light will dull leaf markings; avoid harsh direct sunlight which can scorch leaves.
Water: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top few centimetres of soil feel slightly dry. Reduce watering in winter.
Soil/Nutrition: Rich, well-draining potting mix with added perlite or bark. Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced fertiliser.
Humidity: High humidity (60%+) is essential for best growth. Mist regularly, use a humidifier, or place on a pebble tray.
Pruning and propagation: Remove any yellowing leaves to encourage new growth. Propagate through division of rhizomes in spring or early summer.
