Viburnum opulus 'Roseum'
Viburnum opulus 'Roseum' is a classic deciduous shrub producing spectacular globe-shaped clusters of flowers along its spreading branches. The blooms open greenish-white before maturing to pure white, creating the distinctive snowball effect for which this variety is treasured.
Flowering during May and June, 'Roseum' provides an impressive late-spring and early-summer display. Its flowers are sterile and do not produce berries, but the large lobed leaves develop vibrant shades of red and orange during autumn.
Hardy, reliable and easy to grow, this RHS Award of Garden Merit variety is ideal for mixed borders, informal gardens and feature planting. It thrives in full sun or partial shade and performs well in fertile, moist but well-drained soil.
