Tropaeolum speciosum, known as the Flame Nasturtium, is a striking deciduous climber. Its delicate, twining stems are clothed with deeply divided blue-green leaves and in summer are smothered with masses of brilliant scarlet flowers. These are followed by ornamental blue berries, adding another season of interest. Ideal for scrambling through trees, shrubs, or hedges, this vigorous climber thrives in cool, moist, acidic soil and is a spectacular choice for woodland-style planting.
