Tillandsia Silver - Air Plant
Tillandsia Silver is an impressive large air plant with broad, silvery-grey leaves arranged in a graceful, open rosette. Covered in fine trichomes that give the foliage its soft silver appearance, this striking plant absorbs moisture and nutrients directly from the air, making it one of the easiest and most versatile houseplants to display.
Its sculptural form makes it ideal for decorative bowls, terrariums, driftwood displays and floral arrangements, where it provides texture and a contemporary touch without the need for compost. With the right care, mature plants may produce colourful flower spikes before forming offsets, allowing your collection to grow naturally over time.

Tillandsia Care Sheet
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light with good air circulation. A little morning or late afternoon sun is beneficial, but avoid prolonged intense midday sun.
Water: Soak the plant in room-temperature water for 20–30 minutes every 7–10 days, then gently shake off excess water and allow it to dry upside down before returning it to its display.
Soil/Nutrition: No compost is required. Feed monthly during spring and summer using a diluted bromeliad or air plant fertiliser added to the soaking water.
Humidity: Enjoys moderate to high humidity with good airflow. In warm, dry homes, lightly mist between soakings if required.
Pruning and propagation: Remove spent flower spikes once they have finished. Mature plants produce offsets (pups), which can be left to form attractive clumps or carefully removed once they reach around one-third of the parent plant's size.
