Tillandsia magnusiana - Air Plant
Tillandsia magnusiana is a gentle and elegant air plant, perhaps the most silvery-grey species within the epiphyte family. It features many thin, soft, hair-like leaves that create a delicate, spherical form, giving it a unique and cloud-like appearance.
Because of its naturally flat base and balanced shape, Tillandsia magnusiana can sit steadily on surfaces without support, making it exceptionally easy to use in decorative displays. Perfect for terrariums, mounted arrangements, or minimalist holders, it adds a soft, sculptural touch to modern interiors.

Tillandsia Care Sheet
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light or gentle filtered sunlight. Avoid prolonged direct sun, which can dehydrate the leaves.
Water: Mist thoroughly 2–3 times a week, ensuring water runs into the leaf base. Alternatively, submerge in room-temperature water for 20–30 minutes weekly, then shake off excess. Allow to dry fully before returning to display.
Soil/Nutrition: No soil needed. Feed monthly with a diluted bromeliad or air plant fertiliser added to your misting water.
Humidity: Enjoys moderate to high humidity and good airflow. Excellent for bathrooms or kitchens with natural light.
Pruning and propagation: Remove any dried outer leaves to maintain a tidy rosette. Propagate from offsets (“pups”) once half the size of the parent plant.
