Thymus praecox 'Minor'
Thymus praecox 'Minor' is an exceptionally low-growing evergreen thyme that forms a tight carpet of minute aromatic dark green leaves. Its miniature scale is ideal for planting between paving stones and in small alpine displays.
Tiny pink-purple flowers appear in summer and can cover the foliage with colour. Despite the plant's small size, the nectar-rich blooms attract bees, butterflies and moths.
Grow in full sun in sharply drained soil. This tough dwarf thyme tolerates drought and light foot traffic once established, making it useful for paths, rockeries, troughs and green roofs.
