Thalictrum delavayi 'Splendide'
Thalictrum delavayi 'Splendide' is a graceful, architectural perennial producing tall, upright stems clothed in finely divided foliage. In late summer, delicate clouds of tiny pink-purple flowers appear above the foliage, creating a soft, mist-like display that brings elegance, movement and lightness to the garden.
The airy blooms seem to float above neighbouring plants, adding height and texture without overwhelming the border. Flowering at a time when many earlier perennials have faded, this beautiful Chinese Meadow Rue extends the season of interest and combines particularly well with ornamental grasses and other late-flowering perennials.
Perfect for naturalistic, cottage and woodland-style gardens, 'Splendide' thrives in moist, fertile soil in full sun or partial shade. Its long, graceful stems are also highly valued for fresh cut flower arrangements, where the delicate flowers provide a soft, gypsophila-like effect.
