Taxus baccata 'Standishii'
Taxus 'Standishii' is a slow-growing evergreen Conifer prized for its bright golden-yellow foliage and narrow, columnar habit. Densely packed upright shoots create a strong vertical accent, while the golden colouring provides year-round interest and appears particularly vibrant during spring and early summer.
Its naturally compact form makes 'Standishii' an excellent choice for smaller gardens, mixed borders, rockeries and containers. It is particularly useful where architectural height is required without the width of a larger Conifer and responds well to light clipping when a more formal outline is desired.
Exceptionally hardy and easy to grow, this reliable Yew performs well in sun or partial shade and prefers moist but well-drained soil. In exposed positions, some protection from intense summer sunlight can help prevent scorching and maintain the attractive golden colour of its foliage.
