Taxus 'Fastigiata Robusta' is a refined, upright form of the English Yew with a statuesque, columnar habit. Its dark green glossy needles, which deepen to almost black in winter, are held on tightly packed branches, creating a strong architectural shape ideal for formal planting, topiary, or punctuation points in the garden. This slow-growing evergreen provides year-round structure and is particularly valued for its neatness and resilience.
Hardy and long-lived, ‘Fastigiata Robusta’ thrives in sun or shade and adapts well to different soil types, provided drainage is good. It is also tolerant of clipping, making it a superb alternative to box or other evergreen hedging plants.
