Fragaria × ananassa 'Ostara'
Strawberry 'Ostara' is a reliable everbearing variety that produces sweet, bright red fruits over an exceptionally long season. Well suited to home growing, it offers consistent crops and dependable performance in a wide range of garden settings.
Harvest runs from June through to the end of October, making it an excellent choice for those wanting strawberries across most of the growing season. It can be planted from late July to mid-August, or in March, April and May. As with other continuous fruiting varieties, later planting will result in a lighter first crop.
For best results, remove the first flush of flowers after planting to help young plants establish strong leafy growth. This supports healthier plants capable of sustained fruiting throughout the season.
