Stachys byzantina 'Big Ears' is a clump-forming perennial grown for its extra-large, silvery leaves that are wonderfully soft and felted to the touch. The broad foliage forms dense mats of shimmering silver, creating strong contrast and texture in borders and sunny planting schemes.
A bold and reliable selection of lamb’s ear, it thrives in dry, sunny conditions and is particularly useful for edging paths, gravel gardens, or spilling over containers. Pale lilac flower spikes may appear in summer, but the velvety foliage remains the main ornamental feature throughout the season.
