Skimmia 'Double Diamond' is a compact male variety of Skimmia, admired for its decorative buds and fragrant spring flowers. From autumn into winter, clusters of red and green buds are carried on striking red stems, creating seasonal colour before opening in spring to reveal creamy-white, sweetly scented blooms that are highly attractive to bees and butterflies.
As a male variety, it does not produce berries but plays a valuable role as a pollinator for female Skimmias. With its compact evergreen habit, it is perfect for containers, shaded borders, or mixed plantings.
