Senecio peregrinus - Jumping Dolphin
Senecio Peregrinus is a charming succulent with trailing stems of fleshy green leaves uniquely shaped like tiny jumping dolphins. The plant is known with multiple nicknames, in Japan it is called ‘Dolphin Chain’ and in other countries it is also called ‘Dolphin Plant’ and 'Jumping Dolphin'. As the plant grows, the leaves change and look like dolphins, its whimsical foliage and cascading growth make it a delightful plant for hanging baskets or shelves. The plant is a cross between two different species of plants of the same family, namely Senecio articulatus and Senecio rowleyanus.
This playful succulent thrives in bright, sunny conditions and performs best when allowed to trail freely. Its drought-tolerant nature makes it easy to care for, adding both fun and character to mixed succulent collections or standalone displays. The plant needs clear, but filtered light and a minimum temperature of 15 degrees.

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light and can tolerate some full sun once acclimatised.
Water: Water sparingly, letting the soil dry out completely between waterings. Reduce in winter.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a gritty, free-draining cactus or succulent mix. Feed monthly in spring and summer with diluted cactus fertiliser.
Humidity: Thrives in dry conditions and does not require extra humidity.
Pruning & Propagation: Trim stems to control shape. Propagates easily from cuttings once calloused.
