Sedum sexangulare
Sedum sexangulare is a low-growing, mat-forming evergreen perennial valued for its fine-textured foliage and excellent ground-covering habit. The tiny, needle-like leaves are bright green and often develop warm bronze tones during cooler weather.
In early to midsummer, clusters of small, star-shaped yellow flowers rise above the foliage, creating a cheerful seasonal display. The nectar-rich blooms are attractive to bees and other pollinating insects.
Tough, drought tolerant and easy to grow, this spreading stonecrop is ideal for sunny rockeries, gravel gardens, green roofs and dry border edges. It performs best in full sun and sharply drained soil, where it forms a dense, low-maintenance carpet.
