Schlumbergera Red - Christmas Cactus
Schlumbergera Red is a vibrant Christmas Cactus known for its bright, bold red flowers that appear in cascading bursts over the winter months. Its flattened, segmented stems arch gracefully, producing a striking display when the plant is in bloom. A long-lived and reliable houseplant, it’s perfect for adding colour to the darkest time of year.
Thriving in bright, indirect light and average household conditions, Schlumbergera Red is ideal for living rooms, kitchens, and well-lit bedrooms. Its low-maintenance nature and festive winter flowering make it a favourite for seasonal décor and year-round indoor greenery.

Schlumbergera Care Sheet
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid strong direct sun, especially in summer, as it may scorch the leaves
Water: Water thoroughly when the top of the soil feels dry. Reduce watering slightly after flowering. Never allow the plant to stand in water
Soil/Nutrition: Use a well-draining mix, ideally cactus compost with added bark or perlite. Feed every 4 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced fertiliser; stop feeding in autumn before flowering
Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity. Mist lightly or place near other plants to maintain moisture in the air
Pruning and propagation: After flowering, pinch back stems to encourage branching. Propagate easily from stem segments rooted in soil
