Schlumbergera Purple - Christmas Cactus
Schlumbergera Purple is a vibrant Christmas Cactus variety producing elegant, tubular blooms in rich shades of purple. The segmented, flat stems arch gracefully as they grow, creating a cascading effect perfect for shelves, hanging planters, or table displays. When in full bloom over winter, it becomes a spectacular burst of festive colour indoors.
This easy-care plant thrives in bright, indirect light and enjoys moderate humidity. Ideal for living rooms, kitchens, or offices, Schlumbergera Purple adds long-lasting floral interest exactly when most houseplants are dormant.

Schlumbergera Care Sheet
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid strong direct sun, especially in summer, as it may scorch the leaves
Water: Water thoroughly when the top of the soil feels dry. Reduce watering slightly after flowering. Never allow the plant to stand in water
Soil/Nutrition: Use a well-draining mix, ideally cactus compost with added bark or perlite. Feed every 4 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced fertiliser; stop feeding in autumn before flowering
Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity. Mist lightly or place near other plants to maintain moisture in the air
Pruning and propagation: After flowering, pinch back stems to encourage branching. Propagate easily from stem segments rooted in soil
