Sarracenia 'Juthatip Soper'
Sarracenia 'Juthatip Soper' is a bold and eye-catching carnivorous pitcher plant producing tall, sturdy tubular traps that rise upright from the base. The upper portions of the pitchers develop rich deep red colouring, creating a dramatic contrast against the greener lower sections and giving the plant strong visual impact throughout the growing season.
Perfect for sunny windowsills, greenhouses or outdoor patio displays during the warmer months, 'Juthatip Soper' thrives in bright conditions where its colour and form can fully develop. This variety produces abundant nectar to attract insects, which can become particularly noticeable in late summer and adds to its fascinating character.

Sarracenia Care
Light: Provide plenty of bright light and direct sun to encourage strong growth and good pitcher colour
Water: Keep constantly moist during the growing season, ideally standing the pot in a shallow tray of rainwater, distilled water or reverse-osmosis water
Humidity: Normal household humidity is usually suitable when the compost is kept consistently moist
Temperature: Enjoys warm conditions during active growth but benefits from a cool winter dormancy period
Feeding: Do not use conventional plant fertiliser; the pitchers obtain nutrients naturally by trapping insects
Winter care: Growth slows and pitchers may die back during winter dormancy; keep the compost damp and allow fresh growth to emerge in spring

Sarracenia Plant Care
Watering
You can’t overwater a Sarracenia, in principle. It’s not a problem for this plant to stand continuously in water. We advise you to put the potted plant in a dish of water. Make sure there is always enough water in the dish. Tap water is fine.
Location
Keep the plant in a light spot. This is important for growth and colouring. This can be in the window sill or outside. The plant also likes a humid climate.
All the Sarracenias in our range can easily survive in temperatures between -10°C to 40°C. Therefore, pond side is the ideal place for the plant outside. The plant goes dormant towards autumn and winter. Old pitchers turn brown and the plant doesn’t form new pitchers. In spring or early summer the development of the plant and new pitchers will resume.
Fertilizer
The same applies to all carnivorous plants. They started to catch insects because they live in nutrient-poor soil. Although fertilizer is easy, you quickly give too much. Therefore it is better not to give any.
