Salvia nemorosa 'Ostfriesland'
Salvia nemorosa 'Ostfriesland', also known as 'East Friesland', is a classic hardy perennial producing upright spikes of rich violet-blue flowers above aromatic grey-green foliage throughout summer. The intense flower colour and neat upright habit make it particularly effective in mass plantings, mixed borders, and pollinator-friendly garden schemes.
Easy to grow and drought tolerant once established, this long-flowering salvia is highly attractive to bees and butterflies while also making an excellent fresh or dried cut flower. Its strong garden performance and reliable flowering have earned it the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
