Salvia microphylla 'So Cool Purple'
Salvia microphylla 'So Cool Purple' is a compact, bushy perennial producing masses of rich purple flowers above aromatic green foliage. Its vivid blooms create a bold display and bring long-lasting colour to sunny planting schemes.
Flowering from June to October, this reliable variety provides months of interest and is highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. The upright, well-branched habit makes it particularly effective in borders, gravel gardens and patio containers.
Best grown in full sun in well-drained soil, 'So Cool Purple' is drought tolerant once established and performs well in a warm, sheltered position. Regular deadheading encourages further flowers and helps keep the plant neat throughout the season.
