Salvia leucantha 'Phyllis Fancy' is a striking late-flowering perennial producing long, elegant spikes of creamy white flowers emerging from vivid purple calyces. The contrasting colours create a particularly refined display above attractive willow-green foliage.
Flowering from late summer well into autumn, and often continuing into early winter in mild conditions, 'Phyllis Fancy' is especially valuable for extending colour at the back of a border when many other perennials are beginning to fade. Its tall, upright stems also add movement and structure to mixed and naturalistic planting schemes.
Best grown in a sunny, sheltered position in well-drained soil, this vigorous Salvia benefits from protection from excessive winter wet and severe frost. Its long flowering season and impressive stature make it an excellent choice for adding height, colour and late-season interest.
