Rose 'Strawberry Hill'®
Rose 'Strawberry Hill'® is a beautiful English climbing rose producing clusters of medium-large, perfectly cupped rosettes in a rich mid pink shade. Elegant at every stage of flowering, the blooms are carried in abundance and bring both colour and fragrance to walls, arches and garden structures throughout the season.
The flowers are complemented by a powerful and distinctive fragrance combining classic myrrh notes with hints of sweet heather honey. Glossy dark green foliage clothes the arching stems, creating an attractive backdrop to the blooms and adding to the plant's overall garden appeal.
Bred by David Austin and introduced in 2006, this repeat-flowering climber is ideal for training over fences, doorways, obelisks and arches. Its healthy growth, exceptional scent and elegant flower form make it one of the finest English climbing roses for adding height and romance to the garden.

Getting the most from your new Rose
Where to plant
Choose an open, sunny position with free-draining soil. Avoid planting where roses have grown before or transfer fresh soil to the site. Climbing and Rambling roses can be trained up walls, fences and other supports.
Planting
Roses love organic matter, so mix well-rotten manure, leaf mould or compost into the soil. Water thoroughly before planting. Make a hole big enough not to disturb the root ball. Remove from the pot and ensure the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil. Back-fill soil mixed with a good fertilizer, then firm. Water thoroughly.
Aftercare
Water well until established. Mulching will keep the soil weed-free and moist. For best results feed your roses with fertilizer in spring and again in summer. Remove faded flowers to encourage speedy repeat flowering.
Simple Pruning
Prune your rose in March or before new growth by removing any dead or very thin branches and reducing the height by 1/3 to 2/3 of the previous growth.
