Azalea mollis 'Viscosa'
Azalea mollis 'Viscosa', also listed as Rhododendron molle hybrid is a deciduous azalea valued for its clusters of fragrant, trumpet-shaped white flowers in late spring. The lightly scented blooms contrast beautifully with the fresh green foliage and are highly attractive to pollinators, bringing grace and fragrance to woodland gardens and shaded borders.
Through summer the leaves remain neat and mid-green before turning fiery shades of red, orange, and gold in autumn, adding a further season of colour. With its upright, compact habit, ‘Viscosa’ thrives in acidic, moist but well-drained soil in partial shade. Plant as a specimen, in groups, or within mixed borders for elegant seasonal impact.
