Rhododendron Happydendron® 'Bubble Blue'
Rhododendron Happydendron® 'Bubble Blue' is a robust, easy-care evergreen shrub producing an abundance of large, eye-catching tricoloured flowers. Each bloom displays lavender-blue to violet-purple edging, a soft white centre and a distinctive dark burgundy blotch on the upper petals.
Flowering during May and June, the densely packed flower heads create a spectacular spring display above glossy, dark green foliage. The evergreen leaves provide dependable colour and structure throughout the year, while the flowers are attractive to bees and other early pollinating insects.
This lime-tolerant Happydendron® variety is easier to grow than many traditional Rhododendrons and is suitable for neutral to lightly alkaline soils. Its compact, bushy habit makes it ideal for mixed borders, shrub plantings, woodland edges and large patio containers.
