Rhododendron 'Golden Everest' (INKARHO)
Rhododendron 'Golden Everest' is a compact evergreen shrub producing rounded trusses of vivid golden-yellow, bell-shaped flowers. Opening from striking copper-red buds, the blooms feature delicate reddish markings and create a warm display from May into June.
Its glossy dark green foliage and compact, upright habit make 'Golden Everest' particularly suitable for smaller gardens, front-of-border planting and large patio containers. The flowers are also attractive to bees and other pollinating insects.
Grown on INKARHO rootstock as part of the Easydendron range, 'Golden Everest' has improved tolerance of a wider range of soil conditions than many traditional Rhododendrons. Plant in moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil in partial shade or gentle sun, with shelter from late spring frosts.
